These terms govern any service you book, or vehicle you buy, through Novabalear. By requesting a quote, confirming a service, or completing a purchase with us, you agree to them. If anything here is unclear, ask us before you go ahead — we're happy to explain.
Novabalear is operated by Johan Frederik Kuijpers, a self-employed sole trader (trabajador autónomo) registered in Spain under NIF ES Z2230551Q, based at Polígono 26, 1039, 07500 Manacor, Mallorca. See our Imprint for full trader details.
We offer the following services, each described in detail on its own page:
Every quote is a personalised estimate based on the specific vehicle and service you ask about — the final price depends on factors such as the vehicle's CO₂ emissions, value, origin and condition, so it can vary case by case. We'll confirm the price in writing before we start work, and let you know as early as possible if anything discovered during the process means it needs to change.
Where a service involves third-party costs paid on your behalf (registration tax, ITV fees, shipping or transport costs), we may ask for payment of those amounts, or a deposit, before starting work.
Any timeframe we mention — for registration, ITV, transport or sourcing — is an estimate based on typical cases, not a guaranteed delivery date. Actual timing depends on factors outside our control, including document completeness, ITV station availability, and backlogs at Tráfico or other authorities, and we'll keep you informed if any of these affect your case.
You can cancel free of charge at any time before we begin work on your case. Once the process has started, taxes and official fees are typically paid to third parties (Tráfico, the ITV station, etc.) on your behalf, so amounts already spent on your case are non-refundable. Any portion of a payment not yet spent on your case will be refunded.
For Custom Car Finder requests, we search, inspect and verify candidate vehicles against your wishlist, but we don't purchase or commit to a vehicle on your behalf without your approval. Once you approve a specific vehicle and its price, we proceed with the purchase, import and registration as agreed.
Used vehicles we sell — whether from our own stock or listed on our Wallapop store — are described as accurately as we can at the time of listing, and we encourage you to inspect a vehicle (in person or by video) before committing to a purchase. Where you buy as a consumer, the vehicle remains covered by the legal guarantee under Spanish consumer protection law (Real Decreto Legislativo 1/2007), which for used goods sold by a professional to a consumer may be limited by agreement to the minimum period permitted by that law.
To deliver our services on time, we need you to: provide accurate and complete information and documents when asked, make the vehicle available on the agreed day for pick-up, transport or ITV inspection, and pay agreed amounts on time. Delays caused by incomplete information on your side may affect our ability to meet quoted timelines.
We take reasonable care in everything we do, and we're insured for vehicle transport as described on our Car Transport page. We aren't liable for delays or costs caused by third parties or authorities outside our control (see Section 5), or for pre-existing faults in a vehicle we didn't sell you. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded under Spanish or EU consumer protection law, including liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.
If something isn't right, contact us first at Fred@novabalear.com or +34 621 50 22 50 — most issues are resolved quickly this way. As an EU trader, we also note the European Commission's online dispute resolution (ODR) platform, available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr, though we are not obliged to, and do not, participate in proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
These terms are governed by Spanish law. Where you're contracting with us as a consumer, this doesn't deprive you of any protection given to you by the mandatory law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your own domicile as well as in Spain, as applicable EU consumer law provides.
We may update these terms from time to time, for example to reflect a new service or a change in pricing structure. We'll update the "last updated" date above when we do; changes don't apply retroactively to a service already confirmed in writing.

These terms are intended as a clear, comprehensive starting point covering the services we actually offer today. They aren't a substitute for professional legal advice — consider having them reviewed by a qualified consumer-law lawyer familiar with Spanish and EU requirements before relying on them for full legal compliance.
